The point of this site
Benj gets Spooked is an independent publication launched in July 2026 by Benjamin Green, for the purpose of getting to know Ghost! I heard about Ghost all the way back at the Kickstarter but I've never started a publication so I never had much of a reason to use it. I have had a passion for Open Access and Open Source Software since college, so I've long rooted for Ghost's success from the sidelines. I'm excited about the prospect of actually supporting it.
My name
My name is Benjamin, but I'm one of the few Benjamins in the USA that doesn't go by Ben. People seem to like short names, though, so my name in the tech world has ended up being Benj, for the most part. Pleased to meet your acquaintance!

Fast facts
- I'm an evangelical Christian
- I'm a husband of 12.5 years and a dad to 4 kids
- I love any kind of table game; everything from Uno to Twilight Imperium. I've yet to find one I didn't like
- I love Classical music, especially J.S. Bach and Felix Mendelssohn
- I like to play the piano. I pursued this seriously as a teenager and not-so-seriously since my teenage years. Chopin was my specialty
- I love riding bikes. In-town, single track, MTB trails... all fun!
- I'm not the greatest living expert on Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, but I might be one of the world's premier quoters of You've Got Mail, The Emperor's New Groove, or The West Wing.
